Living Room Decor and Storage Ideas

The weather is, well, lets just say....burrrrr!  So I stayed home, rearranged 
 furniture in the living room, and fluffed pillows and cushions. While doing so, thinking of creative ways to store some music cds. 

 I found these Native American decor rugs at a thrift store, and used them to cover arm chairs in the living room.
What's your opinion...Do you like?
  

 For the CD collection, I came up with this idea...

 used faux crocodile luggage and put them in it.

 They fit perfectly!

Spring Mantel Decor

I was looking around the house, for some creative inspiration for the fireplace mantel.   Finally taking a moment to sit and stare at the mantle, hoping that would help,  I realized  the pillow I was sitting on, was my  inspiration for the mantel..   So, who would have thought....finding inspiration can be found anywhere........

A LITTLE PIECE OF FABRIC

A Little Piece Of Fabric

While visiting daughters in New Orleans, I did the usual, and hit up a few thrift stores.  Accompanied by daughters, they tried to talk me out of purchasing the piece of cheap  fabric.  Paying them no mind, I listened to my little voice....saying buy me, buy me.   So, as usual, I  listened to that little voice, and purchased the little piece of fabric.  I didn't know what would become of it...but today I stopped at my favorite drive thru coffee shop, and had a mocha latte and became so wired, that  I came home trying to redecorate my whole house.  This is whats become of the little piece of fabric, purchased for a mere ninety-nine cents!
